Counter-Strike rewrites your config every time you move a slider and never says what it changed. Drop two copies in and read the difference as sentences.

What it tells you
- What a sensitivity change did to your aim
- Not 2.1 → 1.9, which means nothing on its own, but 10% lower, so the same 360° now takes 11% more mouse movement. That figure holds whatever DPI you use, because the distance scales with the number and nothing else.
- Which keys moved
- What each one does now and what it used to do, including keys that quietly stopped being bound at all.
- What you took out
- And the part people get wrong: deleting a line does not put the setting back. The game keeps whatever value it already had until something sets it again.
What it leaves out
Session state. Which maps the browser had selected, how many times a panel was opened, when a popup was last dismissed — the game rewrites dozens of these on its own every time it closes, so they differ between any two copies and say nothing about your settings. They are counted at the bottom and never listed, because a report you have to scroll past is one that hides the three lines you actually changed.
