Put your FACEIT elo on stream

A browser source in OBS that shows your level, elo and how it has moved since you went live.

There is no recording of this one yet. The steps below are the whole of it — they are what the video would be showing.

  1. 01Sign in, or type your nicknameSigning in with Steam fills your FACEIT account in on its own — FACEIT indexes CS2 players by the Steam account they connected. If it has the wrong one, or you play on a second account, tell it which one is yours and it stays told.
  2. 02Choose what the widget showsStart from one of the presets, then add, remove and reorder the parts. The preview is the real overlay against the real API, so what you see here is what OBS will draw.
  3. 03Copy the URL into OBSSources → + → Browser, then paste the address. The whole design is in that URL, so bookmark it — changing the layout later means pasting a new one.
  4. 04Set the source to the size the page gives youOBS defaults a browser source to 800 × 600 and the widget is nearer 400 × 70, which leaves it in the corner of a mostly empty box that is awkward to place. The page measures the live preview and prints the two numbers to type in.
  5. 05Leave it runningTurn off “Shutdown source when not visible” so the elo is current when you switch back to the scene. It refreshes every thirty seconds, and the change since you went live is counted in your own browser rather than stored anywhere.
